Timing and structure

Brand Strategy India will be a packed one-day event structured around four concise plenary sessions.  With contributions from some of the jurisdiction’s foremost experts, the 2020 programme will provide a unique and thought-provoking agenda delivering practical, actionable takeaways for professionals tasked with protecting the integrity and maximising the value of their brands in the region.

Combining practical ‘in the protection trenches’ insight and guidance with examination of the position of brand protection in the value creation chain, Brand Strategy India 2020 will bring together industry experts from across different business functions to enable an exploration of how brand value is created and exploited.

As with all World Trademark Review events, particular focus will be attached to the networking aspect of the event, and the breaks, lunch and cocktail reception will be structured very much with this in mind.

The 2019 event (held in conjunction with IPBC India) brought together an industry-led audience of over 180 senior professionals. Brand Strategy India 2020 will build on this success, leveraging World Trademark Review’s longstanding presence in the region, plus our collaboration with leading industry groups, to ensure that the event draws the optimal audience of senior representatives from both leading international and domestic brands, government institutions and the broader brand and trademark management community.
Crucially, World Trademark Review also strictly controls the attendee profile to ensure that the focus of the event remains on Brand Strategy India’s core audience of senior in-house trademark, brand management and brand protection professionals, as well as senior business executives from leading corporates. Once we hit the quota for specific groups (eg, service providers and law firms), registration will be closed to that sector.

About WTR events

WTR runs a global series of high-level conferences designed to tackle the issues that truly matter to trademark counsel and arm delegates with practicable, strategic takeaways for their daily endeavours.

The increased recognition of brand value at corporate level has placed additional emphasis on the work undertaken by counsel, who are required to act as both legal guardian of the trademark asset and consultant on its monetisation and commercial exploitation. This places a premium on access to the latest market intelligence, case law, best practice and shared knowledge. With this in mind, each WTR event – whether focused on a particular industry sector or tackling topics relevant to the whole spectrum of trademark counsel – will provide critical insights into trademark practice and give delegates the inside track on how to maximise success in the management, commercialisation and protection of trademark portfolios.

Drawing on the expertise and contacts that have been built up over WTR’s 17 years of specialism in the trademark industry, each event will present senior in-house and private practice counsel with carefully honed content, delivered by the industry’s leading lights. Quite simply, if you are in the business of protecting and commercialising trademarks, WTR events are designed to help you to keep abreast of the latest tools, techniques and knowledge to utilise in this fast-moving environment.
